Toy Box

Grandpa and Grandma made Lucas a toy box for his birthday. We just put it in his room today and filled it with all his toys. He already knows how to open and close it, and knows where to find his stuff!

Lucas can walk!!!

Finally.... the 14 1/2 year old decided he could walk. He took 12 steps for his Grandma on September 9th. Of course, Matt and I were not there. We have seen him walk since although he is still skeptical!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was an eventful time at the Melson household. JT learned to ride a bike!! He did so good. We were thinking it was time to take the training wheels off and let him get use to the idea for a couple of weeks. Within minutes he asked us to hold on and let him try. Very premature, I thought. However, he begged for me to let go and off he went. He rode in a straight line for a few minutes and then immediately starting turning corners. As you can see by the photo, he had a lot of supporters. At one point, they were all chanting, "JT, JT, JT".

A horse named Gus...

Grady, JT, and Lucas, were spoiled this summer by their Grammy and PaPa. They were very generous and got them a pony. This is Gus. He is a 4 year old Welch Pony and is very sweet. All three boys ride him and absolutely love it! Thanks Grams and Pops!

Lucas is one!!!

For Lucas' first birthday we invited a few friends and family over for a barbeque and cake. Lucas was a great sport and really enjoyed himself, as you can see.

Samson's Bday!

Our baby Sammy turned 7 at the end of July... He's such an amazing dog. We took him to a dog park where he taught a puppy pitbull to submit to his elders!!
